  1. Policy Statement

Primed Talent Ltd is committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and fostering an inclusive learning and working environment in which all individuals are respected, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

As an independent training provider delivering adult further education and Skills Bootcamps, we recognise that equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to both learner success and safeguarding. We aim to ensure that all learners, regardless of background or personal circumstances, are able to access, participate in, and benefit fully from our provision.

Our approach is underpinned by the Equality Act 2010 and reflects our commitment to eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity, and fostering good relations.

EDI is embedded across all aspects of our provision, including curriculum design, teaching and learning, learner support, and organisational culture.

 

  1. Purpose

This policy provides a framework to ensure that Primed Talent:

  • Promotes equality of opportunity for all learners and staff
  • Eliminates unlawful discrimination, harassment, and victimisation
  • Identifies and removes barriers to learning and participation
  • Supports positive outcomes and progression for all learners
  • Embeds inclusive practices across teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Uses data and feedback to monitor impact and drive improvement

This policy applies to:

  • All learners and programme participants
  • Employees, managers, and directors
  • Contractors, trainers, and consultants
  • Delivery partners and subcontractors
  • Visitors and stakeholders

It applies across all delivery settings:

  • Online and remote learning environments
  • Blended delivery
  • In-person sessions

  • Safeguarding legislation and guidance
  • Prevent Duty under the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015

Primed Talent recognises the nine protected characteristics and ensures they are considered in all aspects of provision.

We ensure that:

  • Individual needs are identified at enrolment
  • Barriers to participation are addressed
  • Reasonable adjustments are made where required
  • Learners are supported to achieve and progress

Support may include:

  • Flexible delivery approaches
  • Additional learning support
  • Adjustments for disabilities or learning needs
  • Pastoral and wellbeing support

EDI is embedded across all teaching and learning activity.

Trainers are expected to:

  • Use inclusive teaching methods
  • Adapt delivery to meet diverse learner needs
  • Use examples and materials that reflect diverse perspectives
  • Challenge stereotypes, discrimination, and inappropriate language
  • Promote respectful discussion and participation

Curriculum Design Includes:

  • Integration of equality and diversity themes
  • Promotion of British values
  • Representation of diverse backgrounds and experiences

 

  1. Online and Digital Inclusion

Given Primed Talent’s delivery model, digital inclusion is a priority.

We ensure:

  • Learning platforms are accessible and user-friendly
  • Support is available for learners with limited digital skills
  • Reasonable adjustments are made for accessibility needs
  • Clear expectations for respectful online behaviour

Risks addressed include:

  • Digital exclusion
  • Lack of engagement
  • Online harassment or discrimination

 

  1. Promoting Respectful and Inclusive Environments

Primed Talent fosters a culture of mutual respect and inclusion.

This includes:

  • Zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying, or harassment
  • Clear expectations of behaviour for staff and learners
  • Promotion of dignity and respect in all interactions

Any inappropriate behaviour will be addressed promptly in line with organisational procedures.

EDI is closely linked to safeguarding.

We recognise that:

  • Discrimination and exclusion can increase vulnerability
  • Inclusive environments reduce safeguarding risks

Primed Talent actively seeks and values learner feedback.

This includes:

Learner feedback is used to:

  1. Monitoring, Data and Impact

Primed Talent monitors EDI to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.

We monitor:

  • Participation rates across different groups
  • Retention and achievement rates
  • Progression outcomes
  • Learner feedback and satisfaction

We use data to:

  • Identify gaps in performance
  • Implement targeted interventions
  • Improve outcomes for underrepresented groups

 

  1. Closing Gaps and Continuous Improvement

Primed Talent is committed to reducing inequalities.

This includes:

  • Identifying achievement gaps between learner groups
  • Implementing targeted support strategies
  • Reviewing the impact of interventions

Continuous improvement is embedded within our quality assurance processes.

 

  1. Responsibilities

All Staff:

  • Promote inclusive behaviour
  • Challenge discrimination
  • Support learners appropriately

Trainers:

  • Deliver inclusive teaching
  • Adapt to learner needs
  • Promote equality within sessions

Managers:

  • Monitor EDI implementation
  • Address concerns
  • Support staff development

Senior Leadership:

  • Set strategic direction
  • Monitor performance and impact
  • Ensure compliance and continuous improvement

 

  1. Complaints and Reporting

Any concerns relating to equality, diversity, or inclusion should be reported promptly.

This may include:

  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Bullying

Concerns will be:

  • Investigated fairly and promptly
  • Managed confidentially
  • Addressed appropriately

Learners and staff are protected from victimisation when raising concerns.

 

  1. Training and Awareness

Primed Talent ensures that staff receive appropriate EDI training.

This includes:

  • Equality and diversity awareness
  • Inclusive teaching practices
  • Prevent and safeguarding links

Training is refreshed regularly to maintain awareness.

 

 

  1. Monitoring and Governance

EDI is monitored at a strategic level.

This includes:

  • Regular review of EDI data
  • Reporting to senior leadership
  • Evaluation of impact
  • Continuous improvement planning
